Privacy Policy
Last Updated: August 2026
Welcome to Jumping Jack Run. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a secure, transparent gaming experience. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you play our game.
TL;DR: Your camera feed is processed 100% locally on your device. We do not record, store, or upload any video or images of you to our servers.
1. Camera and Pose Data Processing
Jumping Jack Run relies on your device's webcam to track your body movements (jumping, ducking, leaning) and control the game.
- Local Processing: All video frames are processed locally in your browser using Google MediaPipe.
- No Storage or Transmission: We do not transmit, save, or store your video feed or the raw skeletal data. The data exists only in your device's active memory for the fraction of a second required to interpret your movement, and is immediately discarded.
2. Information We Collect
While we don't collect your video feed, we do collect certain non-personally identifiable information to improve the game:
- Gameplay Telemetry: We track in-game metrics such as distance run, score, coins collected, and crash reasons (e.g., hitting an obstacle).
- Performance Metrics: We monitor technical performance like average Frames Per Second (FPS) and pose-estimation inference time to help us optimize the game for different hardware.
- Account Information: If you choose to create an account to save your high scores, we collect your email address and an encrypted password hash.
3. Analytics and Third-Party Tools
We use industry-standard analytics providers to understand how players interact with our game:
- Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to track aggregate usage data, such as how many people play the game, button clicks, and general session duration.
- Microsoft Clarity: We use Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our website through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve our products and services. Website usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies. We use this data to optimize the gameplay experience and troubleshoot UI issues.
For more information about how these providers handle data, please review the Google Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your gameplay data (like high scores and coins) is stored locally on your device using browser `localStorage`. If you register for an account, this data is synced securely to our backend database using standard encryption protocols. We take reasonable measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access.
5. Children's Privacy
Our game is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this policy and, if necessary, providing an in-game notice.
